About the Mora Harpa

The Mora harpa is a traditional Swedish instrument that has a rich history dating back to the 17th century. It was primarily used by the people of the province of Dalarna for folk music and dancing.

The Mora harpa was a popular instrument in Sweden during the 18th and 19th centuries, but it began to decline in popularity during the early 20th century as other instruments became more popular. However, there has been a resurgence of interest in the Mora harpa in recent years, as musicians and collectors seek to preserve this unique piece of Swedish cultural heritage.

Replica of an old instrument

At the workshop, I take great pride in crafting faithful replicas of the Mora harpa using traditional techniques and materials. Each instrument is a labor of love, and I am proud to help keep this important piece of Swedish musical history alive for generations to come.
